Ghana forward Andre Ayew has spoken of his desire to join Liverpool as speculation continues to surround his future Marseille.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs in the Premier League, including Hull City and West Brom, and has indicated he is ready to make his dream switch to England.

Ayew showed his worth with two goals for his country Ghana at the World Cup and has told Marseille he wants to join Liverpool who have been linked with the player, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.

Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is desperately searching for a striker to fill the gaping hole left by Luis Suarez, though whether he sees Ayew as the answer remains doubtful.

The forward could yet revive a move to Newcastle, who wanted him but failed to sign him last summer.

Ayew, who is the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, is comfortable leading the line and playing from the left wing and has scored 34 league goals in the past four seasons.
