Germany's record goalscorer Miroslav Klose has called time on his international career.
The veteran 36-year-old striker scored 71 goals in 137 appearances over 13 years for the national team.
Klose signs off with Germany as a world champion having helped Joachim Low's men triumph at the World Cup in Brazil last month.
During the tournament, Klose became the most prolific goalscorer in World Cup history as he scored in the 7-1 drubbing of the hosts in the semi-final, to take his tally to 16 - one more than legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo.
Speaking about his decision, Klose told the German Football Association's official website: "With the title in Brazil, I achieved a childhood dream.
"I am proud and happy that I was able to shape this great success for German football. I had a unique and wonderful time and many memorable moments in the national team.
"Recent weeks have made me aware of those moments. For me there can be no better time to decide to end the national chapter."
The Lazio striker made his debut as second-half substitute in a World Cup qualification fixture with Albania in March 2001, and he had an instant impact by netting an 87th-minute winner.
Klose played at four World Cups and won the FIFA Golden Boot award in 2006 when the tournament was held in Germany.
He also featured in three European Championships, and only Lothar Matthaus has represented Germany on more occasions.
Germany head coach Low took time to pay tribute to Klose's glittering international career.
"When I met last with Miro, he told me that he had a lot of thought and discussed [his decision] with the family," he said.
"I immediately felt that his decision was irreversible, that I cannot change his mind.
"Miro Klose is an international star, he is one of the greatest strikers [to play] football.
“His footballing qualities such as his aerial ability, his goal presence, his understanding of the game and his tireless commitment are second to none world-wide."
