Scores of people are jostling for political appointments as Ashanti Regional Minister and the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

Mr. Ebenezer Tei Larbi, a Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and Dominic Kwabena Anoma a former Lotto Agent, are both are also hopeful.
The scramble for the Ashanti Regional Minister cannot get keener than it already is.
Mr. Opoku Manu, a former Director of the Ministry of Finance, Nana Akoto Kufuor, NDC parliamentary candidate for Bantama in the just ended December 7 elections and Anthony Kusi, a former DCE for Mankraso are in line.
While the candidates will be counting on their individual professional experiences and rich CV’s to be thoroughly assessed and considered for their respective positions; their loyalty to the party cannot be ruled out.
The Ashanti Regional Deputy Secretary of the NDC, Alhaji Bulla Matari Muhammed explained the criteria for appointments into such positions;
”You must understand that appointments are all political appointments. One must be a party activist who has contributed to the running of the NDC party from the onset up till this time. He must be a card bearing member who has paid his dues up to date. You must not be an illiterate," he added.
