Nine Regional Chairmen of the New Patriotic Party, together with the 2nd Vice Regional Chairman from the Greater Accra Region, who was standing in for his Regional Chairman who is currently out of the country, on Monday, December 1, 2014, took delivery of the 100 motorbikes promised by Nana Akufo-Addo as his way of saying thank you to the delegates of the party for their tremendous show of support in the October 18 presidential primary.
It will be recalled that on November 13, 2014, Nana Akufo-Addo, in an open letter to all NPP members, indicated that he had begun “the process of mobilising resources and logistics, ahead of election 2016, for the prosecution of an effective campaign.”
Nana Akufo-Addo added that “in view of this, friends of mine and I have begun the first phase of equipping the party which will see every region receive ten (10) motorbikes.”

At a short “handing-over” ceremony held at his Nima residence, Nana Akufo-Addo assured the Regional Chairmen that this was the beginning of the journey to wrestling power from the incompetent John Mahama government, adding that more resources will be made available to every constituency beginning from 2015.
The Upper West Regional Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Abdul Rahaman, on behalf of the Regional Chairmen, thanked Nana Akufo-Addo for fulfilling the pledge he made to them on November 13.
He added that “we (NPP) have now started on a very good note. I believe that God will help Nana Akufo-Addo so that he will give us more support, and also we pray that God will help us to deliver this time for the NPP and Ghana.”
