The Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana Law School has called on the entire student body to stay away from lectures, citing poor the schools’ poor coronavirus preventive measures.
The SRC has urged students to support the decision to force the school’s management to put in place adequate safety measures.
“This is not a reactionary measure or a display of recalcitrance. It is a resolution moved by our care for each other and for the entire student body,” a statement issued on March 15, 2020, maintained.
Confirmed cases of the global pandemic in Ghana currently stands at six, with fears that the numbers may hike in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the government has directed that all universities and schools should remain closed indefinitely, while public gatherings of any kind have also been banned for four weeks.
