The Electoral Commission (EC) says it is working with the police to investigate how a voter's identification card belonging to one Nana Kweku Okai Brako was photoshopped and circulated.
This follows massive backlash from social media users, after the card with registration number 2809012504, popped up online with the photograph of an Asian male.
While denying issuing the card to the foreigner, the Electoral Commission said "all the photographs on the EC Voters ID card have a blue background."
"In the photoshopped ID card, the background of the photograph with the Asian male is cream."
The statement from the Commission further urged the public to disregard the ID card that was in circulation.
"The Commission did not issue the card to the Asian male," the statement said.
