Government, through the Ministry of Information on Tuesday, updated the nation on the processes for clearing backlog of Covid-19 test samples.
The press briefing also gave the latest Covid-19 case counts and measures put in place to manage the virus in the country.
Led by the Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the briefing was addressed by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) and other relevant organisations.
Meanwhile, five more persons have died of the novel coronavirus in Ghana, bringing the country’s death toll to 153.
According to the Ghana Health Service, 763 new Covid-19 infections have also been recorded, which brings national case count to 28,430.
While 24,901 persons have recovered/discharged, the number of active cases as of July 17, 2020, is 3,376.
