Forever in her heart, and on her skin. Chrissy Teigen has honoured her late son Jack with a new tattoo after suffering a miscarriage.

The TV personality showed off her new ink on Twitter and Instagram Stories on Sunday (Nov. 1).

In a Twitter video of herself glammed up in front of a mirror, she shares that it's "date night." Then responding to the tweet, she shared a photo of her right hand, holding husband John Legend's hand. In the snap, her wrist is facing up, revealing the name "Jack" written in delicate cursive script. On the same arm is tattooed the names of the rest of her family -- "John - Luna - Miles" -- for the singer, their 4-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old son.

After a follower complimented her new tattoo and said she herself was looking for a way to represent her own stillborn child, Teigen offered to help. "Let's help you find something you love," she responded. "Maybe one s shape, a swirl of air around you."

Teigen and Legend lost son Jack after she suffered pregnancy complications in September when she was about 20 weeks pregnant. Days ago, on Oct. 27, the cookbook author penned a vulnerable and heartbreaking account of her miscarriage.

"My doctors diagnosed me with partial placenta abruption. I had always had placenta problems. I had to deliver Miles a month early because his stomach wasn’t getting enough food from my placenta. But this was my first abruption," she explained, saying that her doctors were trying to get her to 28 weeks. After being hospitalized and receiving numerous blood transfusions, doctors gave her the bad news. "He just wouldn’t survive this, and if it went on any longer, I might not either."

After their devastating loss, Legend dedicated his emotional performance of "Never Break" at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards on Oct. 14 to his wife. Before beginning his performance, he quietly said, "This is for Chrissy."
