Universal Music Group through U-NXT has signed a distribution deal with Afrobeat musician, Joseph Luminary Adzrago aka Lumi-DMR to commercially distribute his songs, particularly 'Canabis' across all its music platforms.
A document sighted on his Instagram page revealed that the artiste will enjoy free distribution via Spinnup for any new songs he releases in the next 12 months.
"Additionally, we will offer you 12 months of free distribution via Spinnup for any new songs you release in the next 12 months," it said.
"In consideration of the payments made to you under this Agreement, you assign to U NXT the entire copyright and all other rights in and to your recording “Canabis” (and any related artwork, videos and other materials) and give U NXT your consent to enable us to make the fullest use of the recording and all related materials.

"U NXT will have the sole and exclusive right to, amongst other things, copy and exploit your recording “Canabis” in any manner and to authorise others to do so, by all means and in all media worldwide for the full period of copyright. "We may appoint a third party or another company within Universal Music Group to perform certain services under this Agreement (such as delivery of your music to digital services, sales and usage reporting etc.). Such appointment will not affect your rights or our obligations under the Agreement."
Lumi-DMR recently received an honorary award by the ECOWAS YOUTH COUNCIL as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador for his philanthropic gesture in May 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown in Ghana. He sponsored and partnered with Joy Prime to donate relief items and food to the less privilege and vulnerable.
Speaking on Joy Prime's Hot Picks show, Lumi-DMR said he owes his significant strides in his music career to Joy Prime, without who he would not have been noticed.
"I didn’t know the world was watching when I was doing my act of philanthropy. I am the youngest Ghanaian to be honored with such an award from ECOWAS. I owe it all to Joy prime... Without Joy Prime no one would have even known me."
The artiste in another interview on Prime Morning on Joy Prime hinted that he plans another philanthropic gesture to put smiles on the faces of the less privilege in society.
Lumi-DMR is known for his songs, AGYEIWAA, CANABIS, BOBOBO and a lot more. His latest song titled I DEY BUY ALL features young legendary Afrobeat musician, Tic.
