Virtual Hub Ghana, a live stage production company in East Legon, is sponsoring The Code, a creative arts and technology program for youth between the ages of 9 -16. Participants of The Code meet several times a week at Virtual Hub’s production studio for sessions on theatre arts, movement, voice, coding, web design, and entrepreneurship.
“Our studio is one of the very few spaces in Accra with a stage and full production equipment and setup. Allowing the students to access Virtual Hub gives them an opportunity to fully experience a professional state-of-the-art environment,” says James Amoakohene, CEO of Virtual Hub Ghana.

The Code has a mission to inspire creativity and an interest in technology. The students are taught by experts from various industries to enhance their skills.

“The importance of theater arts goes beyond the stage. Through theater, children are able to tap into their true personalities without judgment. They gain confidence and passion for self-expression through arts. It’s wonderful to be able to train them at Virtual Hub on stage with access to lights, instruments, and a technical team,” says The Code’s theater instructor Berlinda Abbey, also the CEO of Eyepress Media and the Creative Director of Calvary Baptist Church, Mission Vessels International.

The Virtual Hub Ghana offers studio rental, live streaming services, video production (live and post-production), photography, documentaries, video ads, film and show production. The space is available for private rental and bookings and often hosts live jazz programs on most weekends with food and drinks available from Wine & Things, the in-house wine bar, lounge, and restaurant.
The Code Club is a program supported in part by WaxPrint Media with a commitment to educate and expose young people to opportunities in technology.
Virtual Hub GHana is located at 119 Freetown Avenue, Bawaleshie, East Legon, across from Roadside Grill (formerly Lord of the Wings).
