Women in Wusuta and some farming communities in the North Dayi District are living in fear due to the alleged constant sexual harassment by herdsmen on their farms.
The women who spoke to JoyNews noted that they are unable to go to farm and feed their families because of fear of being raped by the herdsmen who rear their cattle on their farms.
The women who were cladded in red attires said the harassments by the herdsmen were becoming worrying as it is affecting their source of livelihoods.
According to them, it has become dire and scary for them to walk alone to their farms because of fear of being attacked.
"We are very scared because the herdsmen always attack us by way of raping us on our way to the farms and mostly on the farms when we are busily working and if you can't struggle with them and run for your life, they will rape you," one of the women complained.
The women, mostly farmers are appealing for urgent government attention.
Former Assemblyman, Gudu Daniel Kuasi accused the security services especially the police of doing nothing about the situation.
He said it is frustrating when such issues are reported to the police and sometimes nothing is done about it.
He said it is pathetic for women in Wusuta to go through such barbaric act in the hands of the herdsmen.
"Who do we turn to if any of our women is killed or harmed by these men who are always harassing them sexually, who can come to our aid and stop these people? Mr Gudu Daniel Kwasi asked.
He therefore pleaded with the government to come to their aid.
