Sprite Ball, the biggest high school basketball tournament in the country, will this year take a new twist.
Unlike earlier editions which saw senior high schools from across Ghana compete for bragging rights, this year's will have senior high school students compete on community teams from six selected regions; Greater Accra, Volta, Western, Ashanti, Central and Eastern regions.
Prominent players from the various regions will form teams on a regional level and converge in Accra for a national tournament.
Sprite Ball 2021 will also feature a music component where music makers from senior high schools will compete for various prizes, which includes a deal with a record label.
Despite experiencing some key changes, Sprite Ball is still exclusive to only High School students.
