The Ghana India Trade Advisory Chamber has launched its knowledge bank initiative which is to support the youth with innovative business ideas.
According to the President of GITAG, Dominic Oduro Antwi, the initiative is to shape and financially support students with business ideas in all fields to create more opportunities.
This, he believes, will help address unemployment in the country and aid economic growth and development.
He said students in all sectors including agriculture, health, business and science can take advantage of this initiative and come up with ideas which will undergo scrutiny for days and properly shaped for investments.
'GITAG seeks to help and motivate the youths and students. If you have an idea, bring it, we will analyse it and get you an investor. We looking at various areas,”, he said
On the criteria, he indicated that, student at all levels can take advantage of this and come up with an innovative idea.
'Basically, we want anybody from anywhere, whether a university student or not. But what we want is someone with innovative idea”, he added
He opined that the chamber will also offer scholarships to undergraduate students who want to pursue their Masters Degrees abroad.
'As part of the chambers work is to give scholarships to Ghanaians whether students or those who want to upgrade themselves .Every year, between now till the next four years, we will give 30 scholarships to Ghanaians”, he explained
He finally called for unity with regards to trade and the business community on the African continent which is in line with the aim of the Global Africa Trade Advisory Chamber.
