The newly outdoored Paramount Chief of Akpini state, Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX, has urged community members to live in peace and harmony.
He made the plea following a massive peaceful procession through the principal streets of Kpando to thank God Almighty for a successful outdooring.
The procession was done to also send a strong warning to any person or group who may want to bring any litigation against the paramountcy.
Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX noted that Kpando can only get the necessary development if its members stand together.
He pledged his commitment to making sure that festivals are commemorated in grand style; adding that plans are far advanced for improving tourism.
However, he reiterated that "this can only be achieved by unity and peace among all of us and that is the only way we can have the needed development we all desire for Kpando."
Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu IX pledged to be fair and firm while carrying out his mandate.
"My doors are always opened. You should not be worried about the existing issues," he added.
On behalf of the chairman of the Akpini Elite Group and the Planning Committee of Kpando, Togbui Bediaku of Agudzi, who spoke to JoyNews on the sidelines of the enstoolment stated that now Kpando has a Paramount Chief, it will have its share of the national cake.
"Kpando will now have a voice and all the necessary development we have missed for several years because finally, we now have a chief who is also a young and vibrant man," he said.
Some youth who also interacted with the media, expressed joy about the Chief being a youth like them.
