Ghana Women's Premier League champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies', hopes of playing in the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League were dashed following a heavy defeat to Nigeria's Bayelsa Queen's n the final of the Wafu Zone B qualifiers.
Three first-half goals were all the Nigerian side needed to secure the slot to play in the competition as they recorded a 3-0 victory.
Bayelsa opened the scoring in the 11th minute with Miracle Joseph scoring from the penalty spot while Flourish Sebastine doubled the lead eight minutes later.
The third goal of the game came through Chinyere Igboamalu who netted before the halftime whistle.
Saturday's results mean Ghana will have no representative at the second edition of the CAF Women's Champions League following Hasaacas Ladies' participation last year.
