Head coach of Tamale City, Hamaza Mohammed, has hinted the club could go out seeking revenge, if the necessary authorities fail to ensure damage done on the club and its players are fixed.
Players of the club were brutalised by Aduana FC fans after a league game, where the league leaders picked up all three points with a 90 + 6 spot kick. Five Tamale City players sustained injuries - one, picking up a wounded eye - while their bus was also vandalised.
"We have lodged a complaint with the police [and] the authorities should take it up. If they do not take it up, we will advise ourselves. Once bitten, twice shy. At the end of the day, they will also come to Tamale and though we are professional and understand the rules of the game, we are more violent than them [Aduana] - they know that," Hamza told JoySports.
Meanwhile, on the morning after the attacks by Aduana FC fans, the club posted a cryptic message on Twitter.
"If you think about me, you will get tired [you are only worrying yourself]. You won't think about yourself but you're always talking about me".
