From its first productions to its latest theatrical thriller, Roverman Productions continues its remarkable journey with its 66th play.

Eighteen years after embarking on a journey that would make it one of Ghana’s most recognisable theatre brands, Roverman Productions is celebrating its anniversary with a production that promises to be anything but ordinary.

The company’s 66th play, “Honey Trap,” an original work by acclaimed playwright Ebo Whyte, will take audiences to the National Theatre this September.

And at the centre of the story is Prince—a man who appears to have it all. He has money, he has power.

His business is thriving, and he has found love again. But there is one problem.

His ex-wife thinks he is walking into a trap. Gail knows Prince well enough to recognise danger where he doesn't. She sees the warning signs, she understands what is happening.

But will Prince believe her? Or will his desire for happiness blind him to a carefully constructed deception?

That tension forms the heart of “Honey Trap,” a production that explores love, trust, ambition and the dangerous spaces where affection and manipulation can look remarkably similar.

For Roverman, however, the production represents more than another premiere.

It is a celebration of 18 years of theatre and 66 plays—a journey built on Ghanaian stories, powerful performances and audiences who have continued to show up for live theatre.

The anniversary production is therefore an invitation to celebrate with the company—but also to experience another story designed to keep audiences talking long after the final curtain.

“Honey Trap” shows September 4, 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13, 2026, at the National Theatre, Accra.

Fridays at 4pm, Saturdays at 4 and 8pm and Sundays at 1pm, 4pm and 8pm.

Tickets cost GH¢300 per individual, GH¢500 for couples, and GH¢225 for Roverman Loyalty Card holders.
