A host of people that thronged the National Theatre to watch the stage play dubbed 'A Detective Calls’, were beside themselves with joy.
They could not hide their admiration for the producers of the play: George Quaye of Image Bureau and Naa Ashorkor of April Communications as they watched an adaptation of J.B Priestly's ‘An Inspector Calls.’
The play which was staged on 22nd and 23rd April, 2023 featured a stellar cast of talented actors who gave a command performance that left the audience in awe.
Fred Amugi, Akofa Edjeani, Jackie Ankrah, Naa Ashorkor, Fiifi Coleman, Roland Adom, Andrew Tandoh Adote and a lot more took to the stage in a captivating performance that showcased their acting prowess.

The chemistry between the actors was outstanding, and their delivery of the script was flawless.
The stage set up was out of this world, rich, lavish and relevant to the status of Mr. Osei Poku, one of the play's central characters. The attention to detail was impressive, and the set transported the audience into the world of the play.

All four showings of the play were well-patronized and had some very important people in attendance, including the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, the Inspector General of Police, Heads of Business, religious institutions, Diasporans, and many more. The play received rave reviews from the audience and dignitaries alike.

The play was staged in honour of Ekow Blankson, who would have played the lead role if he were alive.
To cement his honour, the Inspector General of Police promised a protocol slot for any member of his family who wished to join the Ghana Police Service at the next police recruitment.
