The Ghanaian-German Economic Association would host its first business forum in 2024 dubbed "Ghana's Economic Outlook for the year 2024" on February 7, 2023.
The forum is being organised under the patronage of German Ambassador to Ghana, Daniel Krull. It is under the theme “Consolidating Macro-economic stability and Economic rebound in an election year.” Â
The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, will be the key note speaker, speaking on the topic "Sustaining Private Sector expectations for the Ghanaian economy in 2024."
Accounting firm KPMG will also present on the topic “Deploying Effective Business Strategies for the Private Sector in an Election Year”.
Ghana’s economy has rebounded with macro-stability and economic indicators heading in the right direction.
The government is however expected to stay in a tight fiscal space under an International Monetary Fund bailout programme in an election year.
The 2024 budgets give an indication of tax reforms and new revenue mobilization measures.
