Fans of rapper and Highlife musician Kofi Kinaata should brace themselves as for the first time in his career, the Fante Rap God will be releasing an album.
In previous interviews, he expressed reluctance to release EPs or albums due to the tendency of many listeners to focus primarily on the lead songs, neglecting the rest of the tracks.
However, it seems years of fans appealing for one has finally worn him down.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz, on Hitz FM, he disclosed that the album named ‘Kofi O Kofi’ will be released at the end of April 2024.
He explained that the album comprises seven tracks, including his recently released single "Effiekuma Heartbreak".
Kofi Kinaata also revealed that the other tracks were Auntie Ama, Abonsam Ye Me Neighbor (Abonsam), Saman Aba Wo Fie (Saman), I Don't Care and Take Away.
Despite coaxing from the host Andy Dosty, the Takoradi-based musician chose to keep the last track a secret.
Giving other details, Kofi Kinaata said that the first track makes him emotional because it is dedicated to his beloved mother.
He assured fans of great music stating that these tracks are unlike any other with some being spiritual.
