As part of activities to commemorate Mothers' Day, the Member of Parliament for North Dayi Constituency, Joycelyn Tetteh, has cleared all medical bills for all patients at the maternity and children’s ward of Anfoega Catholic Hospital in the Volta Region.
This commendable act of generosity was her show of love towards mothers and children to mark Mothers' Day on Sunday.
In her short message to mothers and staff of the hospital, Madam Tetteh counseled the young mothers to consider family planning, ensuring proper spacing of the ages of their children to ensure the sanity of their mental and physical health, adding, frequent pregnancy and childbirth without recourse to proper spacing has consequences on a mother's health and well-being.

Being a mother herself, and appreciating the merits of maternal health, she donated diapers, toiletries, soft drinks and half pieces of cloth to all the mothers who were present at the maternity and children's ward during her visit, thereby lessening their burden in taking care of these innocent children.
The MP further gave each mother a token amount to ensure a safe trip back home to their various communities.
Having helped the patients at the maternity and children's ward with their medical bills in the hospital, Madam Tetteh found it imperative to show appreciation to the staff by giving gifts to the health workers to motivate them, thereby encouraging staff of the hospital to continue rendering quality health delivery to the good people of North Dayi Constituency.
The patients, nurses and other workers of Anfoega Catholic Hospital were so thankful to Madam Tetteh for the kind gesture and putting a smile on the faces of mothers on this august day. They asked for God's blessings and guidance for her in
all her endeavours.
