Lex Apex Associates of the University of Ghana School of Law have been crowned champions of the 2024 Bentsi-Enchill Letsa and Ankomah Moot Court Competition.
The student firm reasserted their dominance in a stellar performance on Wednesday to defeat Animus Domini in the Grand Finale to lift their second trophy in only three years of existence.
The firm was represented at the finals by Level 200 law students Daniel Nana Yaw Obeng and Elsie Eyram Akubia. Elsie Eyram Akubia displayed impressive advocacy on the night earning her the Best Oralist for the day while Co Counsel Daniel Nana Yaw Obeng also picked up Best Oralist for the preliminary rounds of the competition. Also representing the Firm in other rounds of the competition were Edwina Baaba Nartey and Akrofi Stephen Ansah all of Level 300.
The competition saw over 40 different oralists representing 10 students firms engage in stimulating legal advocacy by arguing a hypothetical case within the formalities and requirements adapted by the Supreme Court of Ghana.
Managing Partner of the firm, Delali Dzapkasu expressed confidence in the firm’s future, stating that excellence is the hallmark. He emphasized the objective of the firm which is to give every member the opportunity for personal development in their legal journey and also collectively to excel at Moot competitions and campus litigation.
