Two of Ghana's illustrious creative entrepreneurs, George Quaye and Naa Ashorkor, have won coveted slots at the 2024 Ghana CEO Awards held at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on Friday, July 26, 2024.
George Quaye, one of Ghana's most respected names when it comes to writing, producing and directing and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of renowned events and PR agency, Image Bureau, together with Naa Ashorkor who is the Chief Executive Officer of April Communications, won the Ghana's Most Outstanding CEO's in Small and Medium- Sized Enterprise (SME) award.
April Communications for years has been an integral part of the successful journey of Image Buraeu, making the two entities a force to reckon with for their outstanding contributions to the growth and sustainability of the Creative Arts industry in the country.
The tremedous award signifies their stunning leadership qualities and exceptional dedication to providing quality managerial skills and also for being an extremely respected personalities advocating for best business practices in the creative Arts industry.
For Naa Ashorkor, the honour authenticate her continuous growth and contribution to the Ghanaian economy and also ensuring timely access to quality media services for both the public and private sectors with excellent management skills.
The 3rd edition of the Ghana CEO Awards referred us 'Celebrating Visionaries' was on the theme: 'CEOs for Climate: Steering towards a Greener Future.'
The iconic awards scheme organised by Globe Productions seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished CEO's who are verified and constantly committed to Stay relevant, Stay connected and Stay Ahead of Game and have used the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately the country. This also recognize these idea transformers and serve as a source of information, inspiration and motivation for most of them ( Successful leaders, executives, investors and entrepreneurs).
Speaking to the media after receiving the all important award, George Quaye expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty for answering his prayers and giving him wisdom to remain relevant for decades in the industry.
According to him, the honour is a testament to his unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years.

E Harriet Thompson (British High Commissioner to Ghana), Rep. from H.R.M King Tackie Teiko Tsuru 11 ( Paramount King of the GA States), H. E Charles Abani, (United Nations Resident Coordinator, Ghana), H. E Javier Guitierrez), H. E Rosa Liliana Gomez, (Ambassador of Peru to Ghana), H. E, Huseyin Gungo, (Turkish Ambassador to Ghana), Reps. from the Dr. George Akuffo Dampare ( Inspector General of Police- IGP) and several other important personalities graced the occasion.
About George Quaye
George Quaye, with over two decades of experience, is a distinguished figure. From his beginning as a Media Manager in 1999, he has excelled as a writer, producer, director, and actor.
He has held leadership role at Multiple Concepts Group including Charterhouse, Channel 24/7 TV, and currently leads Image Buraeu Limited.
His extensive portfolio includes managing international music Concepts, popular TV shows like MTN Hitmaker and Stars of the Future, and strategic planning for various projects.
Recognized for his achievements, he received the Best Event Planner and Producer Award at the World Changers Summit.
George with a strong academic background in communication and fine arts, champions the creative sector as the president of the Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana.

Naa Ashorkor, a celebrated TV personality, dons many hats. As host of TV3's New Day and 'We Got This Africa', she is a prominent Ghanaian broadcaster with over 15 years of experience.
Recognized as a key voice on media, entertainment, and current affairs, she was named one of the 100 most influential women in Ghana (2016) and won the Best Actress Award (2009).
Her diverse career spans radio, television, theatre, and entrepreneurship. As a thought leader, she advocates for Creative Arts, entrepreneurship, women's health, and fashion. Her directorial debut with 'Aku Shika' underlines her multifaceted talent and dedication to storytelling.
