The Democratic Forum for Medical Laboratory Professionals (DFMLP) has endorsed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for the upcoming December 7 general elections.
The group expressed confidence in the NDC’s recently launched manifesto, particularly its comprehensive plans for the healthcare sector.
After a detailed analysis of the manifestos from both major political parties, DFMLP concluded that the NDC’s policies, especially those focusing on Medical Laboratory Science, are superior and more aligned with the needs of the healthcare system.
“The DFMLP is convinced beyond all reasonable doubt, after reading extensively through the 200-page document that H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman are the pair to reset the country and provide the jobs, accountability and the needed developments that Ghana needs at this period. This conclusion was reached after analysing the manifestos of the two leading political parties in the country.
“DFMLP is particularly enthused by the comprehensive coverage of critical issues needed to improve the country’s healthcare system and ensure the wellbeing of the populace. On pages 102 to 111 of the manifesto, every sector of the healthcare system was touched and the needed solutions to each sector were proffered. Compared to the provisions on health in the Manifesto of the NPP (pages 157-172), the NDC has superior policies and appears to understand the health sector far better,” the group shared in a statement.
DFMLP further urged all healthcare professionals and the youth to support the NDC in the elections, believing that Mahama’s leadership would bring the necessary reforms and job creation needed in the country.
