As the final clash of Joy Prime’s culinary contest, Big Chef Tertiary season 2, approaches, the producer of the show has alerted viewers and the finalists to expect more drama in the kitchen.
Her comments were in response to netizens lamenting about the twists involved in the competition. Some people think the contenders do not deserve to be treated in such a manner.
But speaking on the channel’s morning show, Brenda Antwi-Donkor indicated that she gets elated seeing the contestants’ reactions after the introduction of the twist moments due to her film background.
“For me, my background is film, so anything that adds emotions, twists, and suspense that’s what I’m looking for. So I’m actually more excited when I see more of that.”
Sharing her expectation from the final showdown, Mrs. Antwi-Donkor highlighted that the competition is going to be extremely exciting, dramatic, and entertaining with interesting activities.
Having been given a week to prepare thoroughly for the grand finale, she said all the contestants are geared up for any challenge of the day, telling viewers to watch out for more drama in the kitchen.
“You’re not going to see your regular cooking show. If you thought the season was something to look forward to, then you should big up yourself for the finale because every round has its own twist. I’m just saying that viewers should look out for more drama…”
As to how dramatic the twists are going to be, the producer did not give details.
Unlike the regular Sunday shows, the four finalists; Kumasi, Koforidua, Takoradi, and Ho Technical Universities will be executing three recipe tasks in three rounds. Each round comes with a different twist and challenges.
All is set for the final clash as the people of the host city, Kumasi, are excited to welcome the other universities for the competition happening on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Great Hall of KsTU.
Performances for the night include rapper Strongman, Sandy Global, Kobby Tuesday, and BadBoi Ty, amongst other exciting activities on the grounds. People are urged to participate and have an unforgettable experience.
Dial the short code, *71160#, and follow the prompt to vote for your favourite university, as the voting portal will be opened on Friday, 29th November, and closed after the main meal challenge on the final day.
