The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) has announced the election of Gabriel Kumi, Managing Director of Trinity Oil Co. Ltd, as its new Board Chairman.
The election, conducted on December 13, 2024, ushers in a new phase of leadership for the Chamber, with a focus on innovation and growth in Ghana’s oil marketing sector.
Joining Mr. Kumi in leadership is Philip Teiku of Star Oil Co. Ltd, who will serve as Vice Chairman.

The newly elected executives will officially assume office on January 15, 2025, promising to bring fresh energy and strategic focus to the Chamber’s mission.
Mr Gabriel Kumi brings over 25 years of experience in the Ghanaian beverage and downstream oil marketing industries to his new role.
A Chartered Marketer (CIM, UK) and holder of a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship from GIMPA, he is well-equipped to steer COMAC’s strategic direction.
For the past 15 years, Mr. Kumi has been instrumental in advancing Ghana’s Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sector, advocating for improved distribution systems, marketing standards, and safety regulations.
His current role as Vice Chairman of the LPG Marketing Companies Association of Ghana has solidified his reputation as a forward-thinking leader dedicated to sustainable industry growth.
The Chamber has expressed confidence in Mr. Kumi’s leadership, highlighting his dedication to industry excellence and innovation.

As Board Chairman, he is expected to lead initiatives that strengthen partnerships within the industry, promote regulatory reforms, and drive sustainable energy solutions for Ghana.
His election represents a significant opportunity for COMAC to achieve greater milestones under his guidance.
The Chamber acknowledged the active participation of its members and stakeholders in the election process, stating that the leadership transition marks the beginning of a new era.
With a renewed commitment to fostering growth and excellence, the Chamber looks forward to expanding its impact under Mr. Kumi’s stewardship.
