A growing number of NPP Members of Parliament are urging the party’s National Officers to include Davis Ansah Opoku (OPK), MP for Mpraeso, in the Whip team for the 9th Parliament.

Described by colleagues as bold, articulate, and highly organized, OPK has consistently energized and mobilized members. 

They believe his inclusion in the Whip team would bolster the NPP’s parliamentary leadership while providing backbenchers with a proactive and reliable liaison.

As Deputy Ranking Member of the Public Accounts Committee, OPK has demonstrated a strong commitment to accountability and a deep understanding of parliamentary processes. 

MPs argue that this experience equips him to play a pivotal role in steering the NPP caucus, particularly during the transition to opposition.

Supporters emphasize that OPK’s dynamic leadership and ability to unite members will be critical in maintaining cohesion and discipline within the caucus.
