The “Adeshyeɛ” couldn’t rule. Returning Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ SHS’ much-anticipated comeback to the National Science and Maths Quiz has ended in disappointment after Bishop Herman College dealt them a decisive blow in the battle for a place in the One-Eighth Stage.

Bishop Herman dominated from the opening round, taking an early 24–11 lead over Yaa Asantewaa Girls’, with debutants Dabala SHTS on 15.

The Kpando-based school stretched its advantage to 30 points in Round Two, while Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ managed just 10. Dabala remained within reach on 21.

Bishop Herman continued to pull away in Round Three, reaching 37 points, while Dabala moved to 24 and Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ struggled at 14.

By Round Four, the writing was firmly on the wall. Bishop Herman had opened a commanding 44–24 lead over Yaa Asantewaa Girls’, with Dabala on 34.

The final round offered little change to the order. Bishop Herman finished on 47 points to secure the One-Eighth Stage ticket, followed by Dabala SHTS with 37 points. Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ ended the contest on 27 points, bringing their return to the national stage to an abrupt end.

For the Tanoso Girls, the royal comeback has ended before the One-Eighth Stage, and the “Adeshyeɛ” are going “beck” to Tanoso.
