The Kpando Dafor community came alive with joy and inspiration during its Annual Kids’ Mentorship and Christmas Party, a cherished tradition initiated and sponsored by Mama Wia IX, the queen mother of the community.
Held during the festive season, the event aims to empower and inspire young minds while fostering a spirit of unity and celebration.
Last yuletide's edition was particularly impactful, featuring mentorship sessions led by the Ghana National Fire Service and a local dentist. These professionals captivated the children with career insights and practical lessons. The fire service team thrilled the young audience with demonstrations of firefighting techniques and safety practices, while the dentist shared essential tips on oral hygiene, encouraging good health practices among the youth.
The event wasn’t just about mentorship; it was also packed with fun and games that promoted teamwork and camaraderie. The children’s laughter and excitement filled the air as they participated in engaging activities designed to boost their confidence and foster friendships.
Adding to the festive cheer, educational materials were distributed to the students, a thoughtful gesture aimed at supporting their academic growth. Mama Wia IX reaffirmed her commitment to nurturing the community’s future leaders, saying, “Empowering our children is a responsibility we all share. By guiding them and providing opportunities, we are investing in a brighter future for Kpando Dafor.”
The day concluded with joyous celebrations, leaving lasting memories for both children and mentors. Over the years, this event has grown into a symbol of hope and togetherness, strengthening bonds within the community and inspiring the next generation to reach for greater heights.
As the Kpando Dafor community looks forward to future editions, the enduring impact of this mentorship program continues to shine, proving the transformative power of guidance, generosity, and shared joy during the festive season.
