The Ghana Police Service has taken disciplinary action against Constable Alonsi Elizabeth after she allegedly poured hot water on a female colleague following an argument.
The incident has led to her detention and interdiction as investigations proceed.
According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, Constable Alonsi engaged in an altercation with the victim, which escalated, resulting in her pouring hot water on her colleague.
The victim sustained injuries to parts of her face and back and is currently in a stable condition while receiving medical care and support.
According to the police, the suspect will undergo both internal disciplinary procedures and the legal process in court.
