Accra Lions are on the cusp of relegation from the Ghana Premier League after suffering a heavy 3-1 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak.
Friday's defeat leaves Lions in 16th place on the league table with 35 points, two less than Young Apostles (37), Basake Holy Stars (37), and Karela United (38) who all are yet to play their weekend's fixtures.
Hearts opened the scoring after Enoch Asubonteng scored his first goal of the season with a scorcher after just 12 minutes.
Lions fought back and with 20 minutes remaining on the clock, restored parity through Laurence Setordjie.
However, any hopes of a come back were quickly dispatched when Hearts replied with two goals in eight minutes.
Kwesi Asmah scored the first of the quick fire double in the 11th minute before Hamza Issah put the result beyond doubt with a minute remaining on the clock.
Hearts of Oak remain in 5th place with 52 points despite the win, while Lions remain in the relegation zone.
