FirstBank Ghana has been recognised on the global stage after securing three prestigious awards at the 2025 Global Brands Awards held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
Under the theme “Celebrating Excellence,” the awards honoured institutions that have demonstrated innovation, leadership, and social impact across various sectors.
The Ghanaian subsidiary of FirstBank emerged as a standout performer, winning Best Corporate Banking Services Ghana, Best Mobile Banking Experience Ghana, and Best CSR Bank Ghana.
Receiving the awards on behalf of the bank was Enoch Vanderpuye, Country Team Lead for Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Presenting the honours, Madi Bennet, Editor-in-Chief of Global Brands Magazine, praised FirstBank Ghana and its sister subsidiaries for their impact.
“With over 2,000 entries this year alone, the competition was fierce. These awards go beyond performance—they recognise the real-world difference institutions like FirstBank are making,” she said.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Victor Yaw Asante, Managing Director and CEO of FirstBank Ghana, stated:
“We are honoured by this recognition. These awards reflect our continuous efforts to deliver world-class banking experiences and to uplift the communities we serve. Innovation, service excellence, and social impact are central to our mission, and we remain committed to raising the bar.”
Innovation and Impact in Focus
FirstBank Ghana has maintained a strong reputation in Ghana’s corporate banking landscape by introducing tailored solutions for business clients.
With enhanced loan processing systems, specialised support teams, and flexible financing tools, the Bank continues to support business growth even amid economic uncertainty.
The Bank’s mobile banking platform has also become a benchmark in the sector. With a secure and intuitive app interface, customers enjoy seamless services ranging from transactions and payments to account management. Regular updates informed by user feedback ensure the app remains both efficient and secure.
Equally notable is the Bank’s community engagement. Winning the Best CSR Bank Ghana category recognised FirstBank’s extensive work in education, health, environmental sustainability, and financial literacy.
The Bank’s empowerment programmes, especially those targeted at small businesses and individuals, are helping bridge knowledge gaps and fostering economic inclusion.
