FirstBank Ghana has officially opened two new branches at Dzorwulu, located adjacent to Allied Oil Fuel Filling Station on the Olusegun Obasanjo Highway and at North Industrial Area next to Star Oil Filling Station on the Dadeban Road, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy to bring banking services closer to customers and support economic activities within key commercial catchment areas.
The new Dzorwulu and North Industrial Area branches will primarily serve entities, small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), retailers, and individual customers within the surrounding communities, offering convenient access to a wide range of retail and business banking solutions.
In an interview with the media, Victor Yaw Asante, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Ghana, described the branches as a deliberate step to support enterprise growth and strengthen the FirstBank brand’s customer engagement.
“The opening of our Dzorwulu and North Industrial Area branches reflect FirstBank’s commitment to deepening financial inclusion and supporting businesses that drive local economic growth. These communities host a vibrant mix of businesses, SMEs and retailers, and we are here to partner them with tailored financial solutions that enable sustainability and long-term success,” he said.
He added that the branch aligns with the Bank’s broader vision of delivering accessible, customer-centric banking services while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence.
“At FirstBank, we remain committed to delivering the ultimate gold standard of value and excellence. These new branches bring us even closer to our customers, allowing us to better understand their needs and support their financial aspirations,” Mr. Asante noted.
The Dzorwulu and North Industrial Area branches are fully equipped to provide a comprehensive suite of banking services, including account opening, loans and advances, digital banking solutions, remittance services, and collections for utilities, school fees, and government-related payments.
Also speaking on the opening of the new branches, Osahon Ogieva, Deputy Managing Director at FirstBank Ghana, highlighted the branches focus on customer experience and convenience.
“These branches have been designed with the customer in mind. From SMEs looking for working capital to retailers and individuals seeking efficient everyday banking, our teams are ready to deliver seamless, personalized service supported by robust digital platforms,” he said.
He emphasized that the Bank will continue to leverage technology alongside physical touchpoints to meet evolving customer needs.
“While digital banking remains a key pillar of our strategy, we recognise the importance of physical branches in building trust, offering advisory support, and strengthening relationships especially for SMEs and retailers who require hands-on engagement,” Mr. Ogieva added. FirstBank said the opening of the Dzorwulu and North Industrial Area branches underscores its long-standing commitment to community development, financial empowerment, and economic transformation across Ghana, and by expanding its footprint in strategic locations, the bank continues to position itself as a trusted partner to individuals and businesses alike.
