A new book aimed at transforming Ghana’s socio-economic development has been launched in Bibiani of the Western North Region.
Titled “Making Ghana the True Black Star of the World,” the 382-page publication outlines 16 proposed ministries and 58 strategic policy recommendations to drive growth, attract investors, and elevate Ghana’s global standing.
Authored by Ghanaian development expert Daniel Tamatey, the book presents a comprehensive critique of past and current government administrations, particularly their performance on policy implementation.
It advocates for a stable business climate and private sector-led development as key pillars for sustainable progress.

Mr. Tamatey, who also serves as the Silviculture and Plantation Manager at Rainforest Builder Ghana, said the book is the culmination of years of research and personal experience in the development field.
He noted that the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agribusiness, if prioritised, could create over one million jobs for Ghanaian youth while ensuring national food security.
He expressed concern over the growing trend of Ghanaian youth migrating to countries like Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia in search of jobs, often facing harsh conditions and uncertainty.
Mr. Tamatey also highlighted the untapped potential of the sanitation sector, which, he argued, could generate energy and other valuable byproducts if managed with the right policies.
He urged stakeholders including the President, political leaders, entrepreneurs, traditional authorities, clergy, and young people to read the book for practical insights into transforming Ghana’s development landscape.
The book was officially launched at a well-attended event in Bibiani, drawing stakeholders from academia, civil society, local government, and the private sector.
The launch of “Making Ghana the True Black Star of the World” is expected to spark national conversations around governance, policy reforms, and innovative approaches to nation-building.
