Political pressure group Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG) says it will announce a new date for its demonstration.
Earlier attempts by AFAG to stage the demonstration were foiled by the police who secured a court injunction to stop it.
Now the group says the reasons for the protests have been strengthened by harsher living conditions precipitated by conditionalities imposed on the country by the IMF and the World Bank as a result of a loan facility sourced by the government.
In order to avert any excuses by the police, AFAG says it has informed the police about the impending demonstrations.
A leading member of the group, Daniel Ofori-Atta told Joy News AFAG cannot abandon the demonstration.
According to him, a freeze on public sector employment and removal subsidies as demanded by the International Monetary Fund will further execrate the already precarious living conditions of Ghanaians.
This for him makes it imperative for AFAG to stage the demonstrations and draw attention to the deteriorating conditions of the citizenry.
