Wa Power SC management has pledged to fund the education of two young supporters who cycled 45 kilometres from Wa to Nadowli to watch the team’s Division One League game against TF Exponential FC.
The two, Abdul Shakur of Wa Basic School and Suleman Abdul Fatawu of Wa SDA JHS, caught the attention of the club after their remarkable show of loyalty.
Following the match, which ended in a goalless draw at the McCoy Astroturf, club president Salifu Buntor Musah met with their families and promised to sponsor their education from junior high through senior high school.
As part of the package, the boys also received replica jerseys, exercise books, and other stationery from the club’s management.

Wa Power currently sit fourth in the league table with five points from four games. The team will next face Northern City FC in the MTN FA Cup preliminary round as they aim for a round of 32 spot and, ultimately, qualification to the Ghana Premier League.
