Wa Power Sporting Club will seek to reignite their campaign when they face TF Exponential FC in a Division One League match-day four clash on Sunday at the McCoy Astro Turf in Nadowli.
The much-anticipated Upper West derby promises intensity as both sides aim to recover from inconsistent starts to the season.
Wa Power SC have picked up one win, one draw, and one defeat from their opening three matches — a run that has left them eager to rediscover form. Their opponents, TF Exponential FC, new entrants in the Division One League, have managed one victory and two defeats so far.
Despite their slow start, Wa Power will be buoyed by their dominant head-to-head record, having never lost to TF Exponential in four previous competitive meetings.
Head coach of Wa Power David Nyaaba acknowledged the team’s early struggles but expressed confidence in a turnaround. “Results haven’t been what we expected from our first three games, but it’s part of the game, and we’re working hard in training to get it right soon,” he said.
Winger Francis Addae Barfo emphasised the importance of the fixture. “Derby matches are always different, and every detail matters. Hopefully, we’ll get things right on Sunday,” he stated.
