Wa Power SC will host Yapei FC on Sunday at Jinapor Park in Buipe, looking to build on a promising run of form in the National Division One League.
The Wa-based side arrives full of confidence after back-to-back victories over Northern City, which have boosted morale and strengthened their position in the league.
Wa Power currently sit fourth with 12 points from eight matches.
“We are heading in for a tough challenge on Sunday against Yapei FC, and we are confident and motivated enough to win the match,” said Power SC coach David Nyaaba.
“We have been able to record successive victories from previous games, and it has helped with the confidence of the team and will continue to improve our performance,” he added.
Yapei FC, meanwhile, are seeking to bounce back after a 2-0 away defeat to Real Tamale United in their last outing. The home side will hope to capitalize on familiar surroundings to return to winning ways.
Midfielder Issahaku Wahid highlighted the difficulty of facing Yapei FC at their ground but stressed Wa Power’s readiness: “It’s always hard playing against Yapei FC at their home, but we are poised for such a challenge come Sunday."
Both sides will be eager to claim all three points, with Wa Power looking to consolidate their top-four position and Yapei FC aiming to climb the league table.
