The Deputy Managing Director of CalBank, Johnson Oware, has charged entrepreneurs to be swift in adapting the use of digital tools to enhance their performance at various stages of their work life.
According to him, more artificial intelligence-led initiatives are being carried out to make work easier and faster.
Mr. Oware was speaking to Joy Business after addressing the Possibilities Conference by the bank and the LEC Group.
The Possibilities Conference, under the theme "Reimagining the Future of Work" is an initiative by the youth arm of CalBank in partnership with the LEC Group to gather youth and entrepreneurs to find a pathway for the future of work.
He charged the youth and entrepreneurs to sharpen their skills in order to stay relevant in the job market.
He believes that the introduction of more Artificial Intelligence tools for work enhancement will become a threat to job seekers without digital skills.

He explained that the human workforce may no longer be required in the near future due to the impact of AI.
“There are AI machines that are able to adapt very important skills that we thought in the past could generate a lot of work and income for people. Today, through the work of intelligence, these skills are being performed with technology without any human interference. What this tells you is that very soon, we may not need human workforce and the job market will be only for digital skills or Artificial Intelligence machines. I will urge entrepreneurs to be quick in getting additional knowledge because the ordinary skills may not be enough” he noted.
The Executive Director for LEC Group, Albert Kusi Prempeh justified the need for participants to reimaging the future of work in the digital age.
The conference is an annual gathering by the organisers to support youth employment initiatives.
