Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, has asserted that he represents the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) strongest chance of winning the 2028 general elections.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile programme on Saturday, January 17, the NPP flagbearer aspirant said the party must prioritise electability and competence as it prepares for the next electoral contest.
According to Dr Adutwum, his record in public service and Parliament positions him as a credible and appealing candidate to the wider Ghanaian electorate.
“I present the NPP the best chance to win the 2028 elections,” he said, stressing that delegates must look beyond internal popularity and focus on who can secure victory at the national level.
He explained that Ghanaians are increasingly demanding results-driven leadership and clear policy direction, qualities he believes he embodies.
“The delegates know what the people want, and they know who can win,” Dr Adutwum noted, adding that his engagements across the country have reinforced his confidence in the party’s grassroots decision-making process.
