Pentecost University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Alex Nerda Children and Youth Centre of PIWC – Graceland to establish a dynamic Innovation Hub focused on youth leadership, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and community transformation.
The partnership is being implemented through the University’s Capacity Building, Corporate Engagement & Innovation Unit (CCI-Unit) and its subsidiary, the Centre for Strategic Philanthropy & Social Investment (CESPSI).
The MoU formalises a strategic partnership that will position the Alex Nerda facility as an operational CESPSI Hub, bridging academic knowledge with practical, industry-relevant skills to enhance graduate and youth employability, innovation capacity, and social impact across communities.

The signing ceremony was graced by Apostle Felix Anti, Resident Minister of PIWC Graceland, and Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong, Presiding Elder, together with members of the Alex Nerda Board. Representing the University were Apostle Professor Christian Tsekpoe, Board Chair of CESPSI, and Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Marfo, Head of the CCI-Unit, alongside staff of Pentecost University.
In his remarks, Apostle Felix Anti expressed deep appreciation to Pentecost University for recognising Alex Nerda Children and Youth Centre as a strategic partner in advancing youth development and innovation within the Church and the wider community.

Elder Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong noted that the objectives of the partnership are timely and forward-looking, particularly in a global context where institutions are seeking innovative solutions to societal challenges, including sustainable job creation.
He also acknowledged the instrumental role played by the Alex Nerda Board in nurturing the vision that has now culminated in this partnership.
Apostle Professor Christian Tsekpoe shared the broader purpose and goals of the collaboration, calling for joint commitment and coordinated effort to realise the targets of the partnership for maximum impact.
The MoU outlines cooperation in incubation and innovation support, capacity-building trainings and masterclasses, mentorship, applied research, co-working services, philanthropy, policy advocacy, and impact monitoring and reporting.
This partnership aligns with the shared vision of promoting the values and mission of The Church of Pentecost while creating practical pathways for youth empowerment and community engagement.
The agreement is set to run for five years and marks a significant step in Pentecost University’s mission to extend learning beyond the classroom into real-world transformation spaces.
