A defining moment of the ceremony was the administration of the oath of office and secrecy, with Council members pledging their commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility, underscoring the seriousness of their mandate in safeguarding the institution’s long-term interests.
In his acceptance remarks, the Chairman, Prof. Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo, emphasised the Council’s resolve to uphold rigorous standards while supporting management in delivering on the university’s vision.

"Beyond compliance, our focus is on enabling sustainable growth, strengthening academic quality, and positioning RIUC as a leading institution that produces graduates who are relevant, innovative, and globally competitive.”
The inauguration comes at a time when Ghana’s higher education sector is experiencing increased demand for quality, accountability, and industry alignment.
RIUC’s strengthened governance structure places it in a strong position to respond to these expectations while expanding its academic footprint and contributing to national development.
