Former Hearts of Oak coach Mohammed Polo has accused Gilbert Fiamenyo of age cheating - and the player has promptly responded.
Polo reckons it’s too late for the striker to play at the highest level even though the bulky striker claims he's 22.
“Fiamenyo? It is too late for him. He cannot make it. He is a fantastic player but he is not serious,” Polo told Montie FM.
“He now wants to make it? Even his age won’t let him. It looks as if he doesn’t know what he wants in his football career.
The now leading scorer in the First Capital Plus League with eight goals has given his thoughts on the legend.
“I have not cheated on my age, everyone who cares to know can verify this,” Fiamenyo said.
“I was born in New Town and therefore everyone can go and check. I am a young boy, I only have structure. My career has been plagued by injuries and now things are better for me and that is why I am performing.”
But Polo was not done: “He has sat down for far too long and now he wants to play at the highest level? He is too old and must give chances to the younger ones who are up and coming."
“I doubt his age.”
Hearts have games in the Caf Confed Cup as well as tough games with Olympics, Wa All Stars and AshGold.
