A key witness in the case involving the murder of Kwame Nyame in Sankore in the Brong Ahafo Region has fled the town following reported attempts on his life.According to the Member of Parliament for Asunafo South, Mr George Boakye, the witness, Eric Asubonteng was attacked last night by some unknown assailants but he managed to escape.Asubonteng was billed to testify in court to the circumstances under which Kwame Nyame was murdered but had to run for cover. The MP believes the attack on the witness must have been masterminded by the killers of Kwame Nyame who was murdered two months.“When they couldn’t get him, they attempted burning his belongings, took away his mobile phones, digital camera, and other personal (effects),” the MP told Joy News. The police in Sankore say they are investigating the matter.Source: Joynews
