The 2012 presidential candidate for People's National Congress (PNC), Hassan Ayariga says his party is the only one with pragmatic solutions to all the problems confronting the Talensi constituency.
In his view, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) who are campaigning vigorously in the constituency are only making ugly noises.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday, he noted that, the PNC has explored all possible means by getting a marketable, resourceful and a winnable candidate to capture the seat.
According to him, the love being shown by constituents in the district is an attestation that the PNC is now attractive to the Talensi constituency.
“The Talensi seat is vacant and I can say on authority that this time around, the PNC will win the seat hands down. People living in Talensi have shown the PNC a great love and I think it is now attractive to them” he said.
The Talensi seat held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) became vacant when the MP, Robert Mosore resigned after his enskinment as Tongo chief.
The July 7 by-election in Talensi is set to be fiercely contested between the major political parties.
But Mr. Ayariga maintained that even though both the NDC and NPP are sharing freebies, the PNC has an upper hand.
“We have made the best choice for the people and we are ready to deliver the people from those bad political hands” he stressed.
