The Dubai-based airline, Emirates has been adjudged the Best Airline-Foreign Company of the Year at the Business Executive Excellence Awards held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Friday.
Emirates was selected for the accolade by a committee of experienced entrepreneurs, economists, accomplished corporate strategists and seasoned journalists.
“We are extremely pleased that Emirates has been honoured with this award. The aviation industry in Ghana has grown competitively over the last few years, and it is, therefore, a source of great pride that Emirates has been recognised in this manner” said Hendrik Du Preez, Country Manager of Emirates in Ghana.
“For the past 12 years, Emirates has been committed to enhancing the travel experience of our valuable customers in Ghana. We look forward to many more years of affording customers the opportunity to explore the world for less and experience Emirates award-winning products and services,” he continued.
Under the theme ‘ Recognizing Resilience and Creativity in Business Operations’, the airline has adjudged the award based on amongst others, their managerial ability to drive the business forward in the current challenging operating environment, tangible evidence of commercial success as well as their strong corporate reputation and public image.
Emirates, a global connector of people and places, has received more than 600 international awards and accolades for excellence.
Emirates flies to 150 destinations in 81 countries across six continents and is the world’s largest airline in available seat kilometres. Operating 250 wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including the industry leading aircraft A380.
Emirates currently flies daily from Accra to Dubai utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER which offers 8 luxurious First Class seats, 42 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 310 generously-sized Economy Class seats.
