Medeama Sports Club interim coach Augustine Evans Adotey insists that his side will not lose to Mamelodi Sundowns at home.
The two sides are scheduled to clash in CAF Confederation Cup second leg tie in Ghana on Wednesday.
The hosts are fresh from a 3-1 loss in South Africa in the first round and are now under pressure to bag a win at home, and subsequently revive their group stage qualification hopes.
Moreover, Medeama returned to Ghana without their coach, Tom Strand, who returned home to Sweden after their loss in Pretoria.
Adotey remains optimistic that they can score three goals to ensure they go through to the last eight.
“It is good we had an away goal there, we just have to capitalize on it and try to score two, three goals,” he told Atinka FM.
“We have to get three goals because that will be more secured, but I am happy we have an away goal going into the second leg and am confident we will deliver."
Medeama are hoping to avoid the heartbreak they suffered in 2014 when they lost to AC Leopards on penalties at the same stage.
The match is scheduled to be staged at Essipong Stadium on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 3pm local time.
