A contractor working on the Teshie Health Training Clinical Institute building has locked up the school and kept the keys for the past three days because of unpaid contract fees.
The contractor tells Asempa News that the headmistress of the school owes him money.
The closure of the school has rendered students stranded.
But the Principal of the institute, Mrs. Margaret Amoah has assured the stranded students the problem will be resolved for classes to resume on October 11, 2010.
Asempa News correspondent Adwoa Animia Addo says since Monday, most of the students troop to the compound but return with no explanation from any of the school authorities.
Some of the students say they do not know why the school has been closed but are waiting for the school authorities to explain why they should be wasting the time out of the classroom.
