Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has lauded Sulley Muntari for apologizing for his unruly behavior during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Gyan who has been a long time teammate and a personal friend of Muntari wants Ghanaians to forgive the former AC Milan player.
Two years on after a burst up with a management member of the Black Stars Moses Parker, Sulley Muntari has officially written to the Ghana FA expressing regrets about his actions at the Black Stars team hotel in Brazil.
“I’m very happy for him to have written the letter. For this world if a brother offends you and regrets and then comes to apologize, you have to forgive him” He told Kumasi based Angel FM.
“For now he’s declared that he’s available, he’s apologized. All we have to do is just to forgive him and move on."
“He’s one player who has served from 2002 and still plays active football today so I think we should compensate him with what he has done for the country.
We all make mistakes, I can make a mistake, and the next person also can make a mistake so if he has realized that what he did was wrong and has apologized let’s forgive him and move on”. He added.
