Former Hearts attacker Ezekiel Tetteh, has attributed injury as the main cause for his failed stint at the Phobians.
The former Okwahu United moved to the Phobians with high hopes of emulating former strikers of the club including Ishmael Addo and Prince Tagoe but made only three appearances.
Tetteh, who now plays for Sudanese club Al-Amal Atbara feels he did his bit at the time of the club.
“I got injured in my early days at Hearts of Oak. I did my job and they did their job. Their job was to release me and mine was to play,” he told Asempa Sports.
“There are several injuries in football but my injury in Hearts was to my ankle.”
“If it was my will, I would have stayed at the club because that’s my job but they did theirs and it was release me.”
“I played only three matches for Hearts and with that, I can’t say I failed because my first game was fantastic and the fans know what I can do if not for injuries.”
Tetteh is the second leading scoring in the Sudanese scoring 11 goals in 15 matches and 3 assists.
